CCRM Australia welcomes Dr Natasha Korica as our Business Development Associate

CCRM Australia welcomes Dr Natasha Korica (linked) as our Business Development Associate, effective 29th Apr 2024. 

 

Dr Korica's appointment is by arrangement with BioPlatforms Australia as a result of the recently announced Memorandum of Understanding with CCRM Australia. The Memorandum of Understanding paves the way for mutually beneficial collaboration, including joint research endeavours, knowledge exchange, and collaborative projects to drive innovation and excellence in regenerative medicine. Dr Korica's shared role is dedicated to advancing the growth and development of CCRM Australia and our partner StemCore for the benefit of Queensland and the broader Australian regenerative medicine community. 

 

"I am honoured and looking forward to taking on this exciting role at CCRM Australia," said Dr Korica, "Having experience in both academic research and GMP manufacturing, I understand the challenges faced by startups and SMEs at the different stages of bringing a therapy to market. I believe that CCRM Australia has a collaborative model that works, and I'm thrilled to work with my colleagues to advance the regenerative medicine sector in Australia."

 

Dr Korica has research experience in drug discovery, cancer drug mechanisms and cancer genomics. Her work has contributed to the development of a novel small molecule anti-cancer agent, currently in human and veterinary clinical trials. Dr Korica has also published a number of high-impact publications.

 

Natasha is also experienced in the GMP manufacture of allogenic and autologous cellular immunotherapies for cancer and auto-immune conditions. In addition, she was involved in multiple client projects involving process development, technology transfers, engineering runs and full-scale manufacturing
