The two-day in-person symposium will be held on October 21 and 22 at the QIMR-Berghofer Institute of Medical Research and will be specifically focused on the challenges of the business aspects of regenerative medicine.
During the symposium, delegates will hear from experienced Australian and international business leaders in this growing sector and gain an enhanced understanding of the complexities of commercialisation and market adoption.
In announcing the symposium, CCRM Australia CEO Silvio Tiziani noted that ‘With over twenty speakers and presenters, this event is an excellent opportunity for delegates to learn from the past experiences of peers, entrepreneurs and service providers from the regenerative medicine and related advanced therapies sector.
We are very excited to introduce this symposium into the Australian ecosystem. Modelled on and supported by the existing annual Business of Regenerative Medicine event held in North America, our symposium will have a unique Australian/Asia Pacific focus. As an in-person event, the event will also provide an excellent forum for networking with key opinion leaders.’
The symposium will be for a limited number of 100 delegates and include representatives from biotechs, bio entrepreneurs, and early career researchers. Late-stage PhD students are also invited to attend with travel grants on offer for selected students.
‘CCRM Australia is honoured to have the support of Life Science Queensland in bringing this unique event to Brisbane and very grateful to venue sponsor QIMR-Berghofer Institute of Medical Research for the use their conference facilities’ said Silvio Tiziani.
Clare Blain, CEO of Life Science Queensland, welcomed the opportunity for LSQ’s involvement in the symposium. “This event is a great opportunity to showcase Australia’s expertise in regenerative medicine and to provide to our members a unique opportunity to hear from some of the best people in the business.”
